Roundsling consists of a load bearing core of yarn, completely enclosed in a woven cover, with or without fittings for attaching loads to the hook of a crane or other lifting machine, and it is intended for general purpose lifting operations, i.e. when used for lifting objects, materials or goods, but not including the lifting of persons, potentially dangerous materials such as molten metal and acids, glass sheets, fissile materials, nuclear reactors and where special conditions apply. The components of core and woven cover are made of polyamide, polyester or polypropylene industrial multifilament. It becomes a very cost effective lifting sling that is soft to touch and much less likely to cause damage the material being lifted; it will not cause the type of injuries to the user, compared to lifting with wire rope sling, say, cuts caused by broken wires, manual handling or impact injuries. Round lifting slings are compact and light weight than both wire rope or chain slings and as a result, they are much easier to handle. Fibre round slings are comparitively cheap compared to most alternative lifting slings and tend to be more flexible, lighter and money saving.On the negative side endless slings do have less abrasive resistance though this can be overcome by using a wear sleeve made from either polyester or from polyurethane. Other alternative method to provide sling protection would be to use steel end fitting such as Grade 80/100 master rings and sling hooks; or the use or corner protectors.All slings are colour coded, identifying the relevant working load limit, and are individually labelled stating sling number, material, length, date of manufacture and any relevant safety information

Polyester roundsling is resistant to most mineral acids but damaged by alkalis (Polyamide roundsling is virtually immune to the effect of alkalis but attacked by mineral acids. Polypropylene roundsling is little affected by acids or alkalis and suitable for use where the highest resistance to chemicals other than solvents is required). Immune to complete water, oil and grease;

Work and storage temperature range is -40℃ to 100℃ (-40℉ to 212℉), which is identical to that

of roundsling made from nylon but different

from -40℃ to 80℃ (-40℉ to 176℉) of the roundsling made from polypropylene.
